"Carnival Calliope"


Back side has carnival theme appliques:

Carnival Calliope was hand pieced and hand quilted. It won First Place and Viewer's Choice at the 2006 Waco Quilt Show, then won Honorable Mention and the Corrine Manly Memorial Award for innovative use of a traditional quilt block at the 2007 Dallas Quilt Celebration. It then traveled to a juried national show at the New England Quilt Museum, August 2007, and won Honorable Mention and Viewer's Choice there. It appeared in the Houston International Quilt Show in November, 2007 and appeared in the July/ August 2008 issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine.
